Orthopedic and Dry Needling

Acupuncture needles can be used in treating musculoskeletal pain and weakness by stimulating trigger and motor points to release tight contracted bands of muscle.  This method of treatment is looking at muscle anatomy and innervation to restore proper function and mobility. This style and method of therapy can be useful for many pain conditions, and is an effective therapy for athletes who are concerned with optimizing recovery times and maintaining peak performance.  

This is not your typical acupuncture treatment! Acupuncture needles will be used in anatomically specific muscle tissue after careful orthopedic assessment and muscle testing. The goal and outcome of this therapy includes pain relief, but goes so much further. Orthopedic and dry needling therapy will also help restore muscle function, tone, and extensibility leading to improved joint mobility and improved recovery of injured tissue.
